Thyroid Disorder
There is a butterfly-shaped gland located near our windpipe called the thyroid. This gland secretes the hormone, namely thyroxin and more. When it is produced in excess amount, the disorder is called hyperthyroidism, and when produced insufficiently, it is called hypothyroidism. Both of them have different signs and symptoms
HYPERTHYROIDISM-
Symptoms-
1. Increased sweating
2. High heartbeat.
3. Fatigue
4. Tremor and nervousness
5. Concentration issues
6. Intolerance towards heat
7. Disturbed bowel moments.
Causes-
1. Excessive sodium consumption
2. Multi-nodular goiter
3. Graves’ disease.
HYPOTHYROIDISM-
Symptoms-
1. fatigue
2. dry skin
3. constipation
4. join pains
5. fluid retention
6. depression
7. prolonged menstrual flow in women
Causes-
1. hashimoto’s disorder
2. hormone resistance in the gland
3. acute thyroiditis
Cure-
In both cases, medicines are prescribed by doctors to control the damage.
